ABOUT US   

 Both DJ and his wife grew up with many family dogs, and in the Fall of 2020 rescued their very own pooch, Champ! They were so excited to welcome this new addition to their family.  The love was unconditional from the very second they laid eyes on him!  Champ changed their world with his energetic, loving, curious & spunky personality.  Caring for Champ grew their passion for wanting to help other pet parents take care of their pooches!  Champ, is the reason they decided to start "Walk Like a Champ".  In the spring of 2025 they added to there family and rescued there second puppy Lucky! Now champ has a little brother to play with and DJ added a second Dog to walk everyday along side Champ!

How did Champ get his name?

  Finding the perfect name was a difficult task. DJ, an avid sports fan, only wanted a sports related name. However; his wife did not approve of this!  After lots of suggestions and vetoes, surprisingly, she was the one that came up with Champ. If you're familiar with Notre Dame Football (DJ's Favorite team), you'd be familiar with the motto "Play Like A Champion Today".  She played this phrase over & over in her head until "CHAMP" stood out to her. DJ agreed it was the perfect name for their little guy!
